Epalladio Art Workshop presents a unique and exclusive collection of aromatherapy lamps. The most common aroma lamps on the market today use a lit candle at the base to heat the water and evaporate the essential oils into the air. The difference in our collection is that each of our lamps has a separate base component which is filled with olive oil, or any kind of vegetable oil, for burning. A special floating wick called “candilithra” maintains the flame. In contrast to burning paraffin candles, which reduces the benefits of aromatherapy (burning paraffin pollutes the air rather than fragrancing it), the natural purity of oil increases the therapeutic value of the lamp as a whole. Additionally, the combination of burning olive oil and evaporating essential oils ionizes the air to create a positive atmosphere. You can see, as well, that our aroma therapy lamps are taller than most. This extra height assures that the water heats slowly, releasing the aromatic oils more efficiently, opposed to the shorter lamps that evaporate the water and oils immediately. Aromatherapy works best at this specific height.
↑ Place the waxed cotton wick in the hole at the center of the floating cork piece, leaving ¼ inch exposed. The wick can be adjusted for larger flame, as you wish. Slowly drop the cork wick into the oil base. Once it is floating steadily, light the wick. Finally, place the aroma lamp onto its base. Enjoy!
